They will only go down to 20" as you have now found out. But if you know the measurement you want why not just build your own? I know adjusting is nice to help reduce noise but like also said above most of us keep the water line just below the top of the overflow box.

I already have the kits and have modified them...I'm past the point of no "return$"....and have cut parts to fit. Only thing left to do is to cut a few inches from the middle.

I like the kit so not interested in making my own or buying other parts...I just need to make another mod to it so I can get it down to 17"
