    Default Fish Selection

well I am wondering about what kinda fish to put in my bio cube 14 it's been up for about a month and a week.. I wanted to ask yall about some fish and your experience wit them. Well my stock list so far that's goin in for sure is a clown goby. I really want a twinspot goby but I heard my tank is to litle but I have heard other cases where they have done fine in even smaller tanks....my second fish I had questions about is the pinkbar goby and the randallas goby?

A randals goby would be fine, so long as you have a top. Watch putting too many bottom gobys together. I have heard twinspots are not very hardy, but do better in pairs. It can be hard to get them to eat prepared foods. We have a tailspot blenny in our 20g and he is a cool little guy with a great personality. I would go easy on stocking, a little at a time. After 5 weeks, have you totally cycled?

That's alot of fish for a small tank. Just watch those levels like a hawk. Add one fish, wait and test. If your levels stay the same over a few weeks, add another. You are close to the tipping point after that though.

twin spots really need a large sandbed to feed off of. Same concept as mandarins w/ lots of LR. Clow gobies are great, but ship poorly. Watch out for emaciated, discolored, or not eating ones.

Hit or miss with the twin-spot/mandarin...I have both and they eat any prepared food I throw in as well as live.

yea I really want one but I don't like the idea of trying one if I'm not ready I don't wanna kill the little guy..i think I'll wait.. I had another question I was wondering about my cycle. If it's done or not my reading came back as they should but there looks like nothing is goin on in the tank I have a 2" sand bed of live sand and like 15 pds of live rock but no algae
