Default center brace on 48" 90 gal tank broke

    Hey everyone:

Do I need to drain this tank now? It's 48" long, 18" wide, and about 20" deep. I moved the tank to another room today (after draining and removing about 110 lbs of rock). I noticed it was broken after getting it all-the-way filled up.

Put a clamp on it to keep it stable. I would drain it at that point and get another brace on it. Better to be safe than sorry.

well ... I've got it clamped with 2X4's running the entire length of the front and back of the tank ... used rope to cinch it together and will head to my trusted fish store in the morning ... we'll see. Wife won't be happy with this for long

sounds like a good time for an upgrade ;) but in the meantime keep it clamped like you have it, to prevent bowing out and extra stress
