    Default Am i overstocked?

Im not really sure if i have too many fish for my tank. I do water changes about 3 times a month but im going to start doing them every week. I run carbon and no skimmer. I currently have. 2 molly millers, a sixline, fangtooth blenny, and a blue chromis in a 60g tank. All my coral are zoanthids and mushrooms. I have heard to not put 2 molly millers in the same tank but i think mine have paired up because they hang out with each other alot.

IMO you are not overstocked with a 60g. If it were my tank Id add one or two more fish and call it stocked. I would also take in consideration the foot print of the tank though. Filtration is obviously key.

Im pretty sure salt water is pretty much the same as freshwater as far as bacteria goes and I had xlose to 30 cichlids in a 75 gallon tank back in the day. Just as long as you have plenty of filtration and oxigenation do water changes you should be good. I have a 100 rimless and I have 1 yellow tang, 1 sailfin tang, 1 yellow wrasse, 2 naked clowns, 1 Hippo tang, 1 midas blenny, 2 square anthias, 1 strawberry psuedo, 1 blue goby along with corals, snails, shrimp and a longspine urchin. Thats 11 fish and I have no issues with water quality. I do bi weekly water changes and check parameters regularly. For filtration I use a sump with filter media and chaeto algae in a fuge. I dont use any type of reactor or skimmer. I will probably start to use a skimmer pretty soon though.

I have a skimmer it just throws alot of bubbles so i stopped using it and switched to carbon. Im a cheap reefer so i dont want to go buy another skimmer right now.
