Exclamation It's important to check every room

Today, i learned that it's important to check every SINGLE room for your dog BEFORE driving around looking for her/him.

So my dad's hooking up their new dishwasher, while i'm waiting to start work.
Dishwasher has to be finished tomorrow, so before i start the drive back to my house
I walk out of my old room and ask my mom where's Jack [my chew-wow-you]
she tells me "I thought he was with you"
    Needless to say he wasn't!
So we check almost every room[forgetting my office]
Then go drive around while yelling JACK after 5 seconds
    No luck.
I start crying cuase i've had him since he was a pup, literally fitting in my hand @ 2 months!
My mom's already thinking he's dead or somebody's picked him up
To this dog, i was MOMMY. He would cry if he wasn't touching me 24/7
He wouldn't let me go to the bathroom, shower, eat, sleep or go anywhere unless he was touching me some way.
So after driving around, i did another search, standing in the kitchen[less then 1ft to my office] i start saying JACK again and then i hear this little sad whimper and look to my left and THERE HE IS just sitting there, looking sad and wagging his tail.
Still no idea HOW he got into my office cause both doors are closed.

So my advice to Small/Large dog owners, CHECK every room before driving around and micro-chipping is a life-saver!!! Thank the good lord, my 3 dogs are chipped.

I attached a picture of the little jail breaker. If you look @ his back, you'll see what is almost a Longhorn shape.

    Glad you found your doggy!

I know how it is to lose a dog through no wrong doing of your own. I also know what a relief it is to find them again!
