Frag Tank Lighting
I have a regular 20 gallon tank not being used and want to set it up as a frag tank. I was wondering what type of lighting to use, right now I am between either the t5 or metal halide system from aquatraders.com

I will have sps, lps, and zoas. What would be the best flow for a tank like this?

I was thinking of doing my racks like this one, top rack sps and the other two lps and zoas. Would the bottom racks get enough light or would to much light be blocked by the time it gets down there?

You can have rack similar to the ones in the pic. I would staggar them though like steps. Steps would allow more direct light to the bottom.

what Ray said...and to add to that, those racks in the pic look like it would be too difficult to get to the bottom and middle racks.
As an FYI: if you did use that type of rack the bottom rack will have little light but still fine for a lot of acans and chalices...plus mushrooms. In fact that's a great place to help heal corals. I'm just not a big fan of those racks.
Also, in such a small system I would lean more towards T5.

I am thinking about buying the Sunlight Supply New Wave T5 fixture 4x24. Would this be a better light then the one from aquatraders? Thanks for the step suggestion I think thats the way I am going to go.
