    Unhappy [s]LOST[/s] FOUND: B/W Shihtzu...

    2010-02-21 19.16.11.jpg

    It's been awhile my friends...

This past Saturday, my wife and I were enjoying some window shopping up at the Forum. I recieved a call(s) from my neighbors (all of them), my front door was kicked in and my house was robbed. Luckily, the police caught the guy before he was able to leave my house. The police knew the guy who robbed my house, he has a long rap sheet.

    Anyways...

I got home as fast as I could.

Throughout the shuffle, my pets must have been terrified. I found my cat wedged behind the washer, my gray and white shihtzu was trying to attack the officers at the scene and my black and white shihtzu was gone. Some of my neighbors were following her but could not keep up with her once she started going through yards in another residential neighborhood.

    I have...

    posted on Craigslist
    posted on Express News
    checked the local shelters
    tons of, word of mouth
    made fliers and posted them

    Facts...

Her name is Dulce (means candy in spanish)
She is a black and white shihtzu
Her hair will be longer than pictured
She is somewhere in the ATT Center area
She is an indoor dog, no survival skills
She is wearing a pink colar with my information/registration on it

If you see her, please call me. My wife hasn't slept in two days.

    Thanks gals and guys.

My wife and I spent this afternoon putting up fliers at intersections on my side of town and driving looking for her. I made some more fliers to put up tommorrow.

    So far this summer...

    -car accident, hit and run
    -house robbed
    -dog ran away

I hope there is no more excitement. I can't afford it $$$. I want to go back to school and teach.

    Thumbs up

    GOOD NEWS!!!

Last night at about 9:30, my wife and I decided to go look for the dog again. After looking for about 30-45 minutes we decided to check out a field/brush area behind our community pool. The parking lot area overhangs the field, so I hit the high beams on the car and we starting calling the dogs name and squeaking her toy. Back toward the brush my wife spotted a a pair of glowing eyes and started running, it was Dulce.

The dog was in pretty bad shape. She wouldn't move and was covered with stickers/burrs and small branches stuck in her coat, not to mention her coat was matted pretty bad. It took 3 1/2 - 4 hours of brushing and cutting, and two baths to get her coat back to normal. As well, she drank quite a bit of water and ate a bunch of food.

We will be taking her to the groomers tomorrow and to the vet on Saturday.

I have never had a pet run away before and I hope it never happens again. Finding our dog after this was more satisfying than originally picking her up from the breeder.

Thanks for your well wishes guys and gals.

    Christopher

P.S. I have pictures of the robbery which caused all this. Watch for a seperate thread.
