    Default Reef Suppliment help

    Hello all...

I am looking for a good reef suppliment. I have maily plyps and soft corals. Mushrooms, tree corals and the like...

I have used Purple up as a calcium and iodine suppliment that seemed to workd well...

But I have recently had a minor set back (lack of up keep due to a family crisis) with my corals. Nothing major, but I sure would like to get them back in better form....

Please give some advise...there are simply to may choices for me to figure it out.

    Thanks!

Personally, water changes and 2 part esv or the only things I add to my tank on a regular basis.

But, I did start to feed my corals on a regular basis with Coral Frenzy and Reefroids and have liked the progress so far.

Get the 2 part kit from Bulk Reef Supply. Also get the Ferric Oxide pellets, and some Carbon. Buy a Two Little Fishies Phosban reactor for the FO, and put a small maxijet on it.

That's all I use, and I have a nice healthy tank. Otherwise go ZEOVIT, lol. There's also the NP biopellets as well, which is newer technology, but is getting rave reviews. and make sure you have a GOOD SKIMMER!

There you go, 1k in the hole.

    It's all worth it!

get some of the b-ionic (esv) 2 part, and some phytoplex/dt's phytoplankton. Water changes always help to replenish used up nutrients provided your salt is of good quality

    1) Water changes. Easy to ignore, but the results of consistent water changes I think are the best thing ever!
    2) Good lighting
    3) Two part (but if you are not doing enough water changes then watch magnesium as it could fall low)
    4) Good skimmer
    5) NP Biopellets (or the vertex which are cost a bit less).

Every now and then I put in a few drops of Lugols, but I am not sure if that is really doing anything or if I am just superstitious
