    Default ROD'S food

Has anyone here feed with ROD'S food and got a algea bloom ? Ive been feeding with this stuff for a little over a month now and since i've been feeding with it i've had a black hair slime on the sand bed of my tank. Yes, it has taken me a month to figure that this food might be the problem.
    Has anyone had similar problems?

I liked the idea of a high quality complete food -such as Rod's.
I think it's pretty pure as far as additives and fillers goes but the problem I had with it is that my crew didn't eat the complete food completely.
So there was always stuff (broccoli, bigger bits of meat, etc.) that was destined to turn to waste/detritus right from the start.
And if it's not fueling a fish or coral the nutrients will still be there to fuel something else -such as algae.
I find that using only items that have proven to be popular with my critters is a better approach for me since I like to keep them well fed but I also don't want to look at a swamp.
So I just defrost a little of the popular stuff (bloodworms, prawn eggs, mysis) every day and no more complete mix.

Never used ROD's but over feeding can certainly add to algae problems.
