Thread: new tank

    well i just got a new tank its a 150 tall dont know how to post pics yet ill mess around wit later and ill try to post pics.... 48X26X31 tall been waiting a while to set it up but i just found out yesterday its tempered so from what i heard i cant have a sump correct??? if so u think i should just sell it or is there a big difference in having a sump and running one of a regular filter...Pro's and Con's PLz????

    Most likely just the bottom is tempered. You could have the back drilled for a Calfo style overflow or you could get an overflow box.

    You can always go with a hang on back overflow and use a sump/fuge below you tank.

    so glad to here this when i got the tank it came with a overflow but i just thought he threw it in for free guess he figured i needed it : ).. its a hang on the back one. so does any 1 one drill tanks on here?? Thanks everyone

    yea theres a store that does it, Gabe's fish uses them, if your going the calflo route gabe can do the whole thing, just look in the sponsor for contact info

    thanks.. is calflo the only way i can go or can i still use a hang on the back??

    Hang on back is more susceptible to problems but it will work. The Calfo method (named after Anthony Calfo) would work best.
