Default Tunze Master DOC Protein Skimmer 9410.000

I am trying to use only low energy consumption devices in my new set up and came across the Tunze Master DOC skimmer.
Does anybody have one? Do you love it? Hate it? Heard anything bad about it?

Reefing is just like cooking, all the ingredients have to be just right , except you don't have to bring the water to a BOIL...

It's the Master line though not the regular.
I think it was something like 264g (1000l)

I had a 9010 model years ago. Great passive skimmer. The pumps are a pain to service, but very well built. Aquatek is an authorized dealer. You may want to call Bruce sometime for complete info.

    Hey Karin,

I actually have this skimmer, bought it off a MAAST member last year when I started due to the very small footprint. It is awesome, and a skimming machine! Of course, I have it on my 40gal cube, and I wet skim most of the time, but my water parameters are always very nice.

Last year, when James (GC Reef) upgraded to the big acrylic cube that he made, he bought one as well, and I know that it has worked great for him as well. Very durable skimmer with great action, no problems at all, so easy to tweak with little blue knob, and it has an incredibly small footprint!

I have only taken it out one time, when I overhauled all of my equipment to clean and make sure everthing was working properly, but it was totally proactive.

Good luck, let me know if you have any questions!

    Best,

    Michael
