    Default Arriving Tuesday :)

Annalisa (my wife) decided she wanted some coral as part of her anniversary present. So, arriving Tuesday morning, we will have:

Neon Green Aussie Blastos (to go next to the red and green ones she got for her birthday, they can be seen in the last picture)
Purple plate coral with neon green center
    Aussie Lobed Brain Coral
    Aussie Wilsoni Brain Coral

More pictures to come on Tuesday... the Aussie corals came from West Australia and were taken with permits (responsible harvesting). I think we get copies of that as well.

Anyways, the tank is slowly getting filled!

I pushed back on the vendors. To be fair, these were a bit on the pricey side (as aussies can get). I was told that they would request the copies from their supplier, so we will see if it all comes through. If so, then I will post the details about the vendor on the process I went through. Honestly I am OK paying more money for coral that are harvested with appropriate measures versus some of the others in the northern pacific which can be harvested with disregard for the controls. My assumption is that the nation that owns and protects the ecosystem will know more about safeguarding it than I will, so all I can do is be as proactive of a consumer as possible to ensure that those I do business with are obeying the law where the coral is harvested.

    Dude,

Those are some nice pieces. I wish I could get my wife stuff like that for our anniversary.

The shipment arrived this morning. Here are some shots of the new brain corals in my tank. The Blastos and Fragil Plate have not really settled in yet, so no shots of those yet.
