Thread: Help - Stain on the Wall from my Aquarium

Cool Help - Stain on the Wall from my Aquarium

I recently moved my 90 gallon aquarium to a different part of the house and noticed some staining on the wall from saltwater splash. I clean off all of the excess salt and gave the wall a good scrub. It looked better but you could still see what I would assume is just a water stain on the wall. Last week I painted the room with a latex indoor paint. Although the stain is less noticeable after a coat of paint, you can still see it. Any tips for how I can eliminate the stain? Do I need more coats of paint? Should I try and seal it with a primer? If so any good recommendations? I'm putting the house on the market soon so I'd to avoid questions from buyers about the stain on the wall

Kicking myself for not priming especially since I have Kilz primer in the garage. Oh well lesson learned. Do you think I will need to prime and re-paint the entire wall or can I get away with just priming and re-painting the stain area? I'm guessing it can't hurt to try and treat the stain first and see how it looks.

U will see the difference if u don't seal n paint the whole wall. It will prob be more noticeable than if u leave it alone.

Kilz now makes a odorless enamel sealer that worked great for me on my mother/father in laws smoke filled ceilings.
