So I keep telling my girlfriend that "her" dog is nuts. Well he is still a puppy but chews on most stuff. I bought him for her for $20 and he is a Labraweinie. Smart dog just gets bored while we are at work. Ok so she always defends him on how good he is but today after coming home from work he has chewed my Crepe Myrtle to the ground. Its not too big of a deal as I got it while I was working landscaping for free but still I got to win an argument and thats always a plus.

Oh my husband always complained about my pets and how messy and destructive they could be... then we had kids. lol
Compared to the kids the dogs and other pets are nothing in regards to destruction and mess factor.

i had a dog dig a hole thru the sofa to the floor once when i was in college. was very strange walking into the house covered in foam bits to see a perfectly round hole cut straight thru the sofa cushion <-- that is all i could do at the time

Dude, you have to bend that dog to your will. It usually only takes a day or two, but it has to know who the alpha role model is...

And after your girlfriend has established the position you can start as the "number two guy" at your house.

All kidding aside ask Millie. She works at a vets clinic down town and is always lamenting the unsocialized dogs. If you point at her dog and say "bang" he falls down and dies. Doesn't chew on anything excetp his chew toys.
