q Vendor/Sponsors: Any member who is selling equipment, dry goods, or livestock for a profit, either through a storefront or through the internet, will not be permitted to post these items in the Trade & Selling forums. This is reserved for the best interest of our paid vendors and sponsors. If you are interested in becoming a vendor/sponsor here on MAAST, please contact the BOD. Once sponsorship dues are paid, a vendor/sponsor will have their own forum in the Sponsor’s Forum to post items for sale. Charter members and web members are not discouraged for selling propagated livestock from their own personal tanks. If it is determined that propagated livestock is being sold for profit through a tax issued business, those threads will be deleted and the member will be asked to talk to the BOD about becoming a sponsor.
Thank you,

No offense to any web member but to begin with maybe you should charter up first before you look at this site /family as a place to sell.. Not trying to bring up old arguments so please no one take it that way.. Man you know if he wants to sell water I know there is rules but who cares let him he will soon find out that it will not work ..The only reason we (stores) sell water is to help( not pay in full) help cover our own water cost .If that is the reason for you wanting to sell water I see no harm but I dont make the rules

Bill, pretty sure he meant MAASTards price not LFS's

Yes I meant maastards , I expect our lfs to make a profit that's what they are there for. US when we need things . What I don't get is 30 bucks on inch for a frag
When you can get a nice mini colony for a bit more from places like GABE's and such.. just my 2 pennies

How about the first sentence from the by-laws? As ironic as it sounds, you'd be selling a dry good for a profit (even if it only covered your costs) through the internet.
You'd be selling a low lost item and I can't see how you'd expect to sell it in the volume needed to turn a profit or even cover your costs.

I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.

I think if you re-read the posts from other Board members in this thread, you will see that your questions have been addressed.
Members are not permitted to resell with the intent to profit without purchasing a sponsorship. Obviously, this is a very gray area with livestock. In your case, it is not very gray. It is very clear that you intend to sell water for profit.
It is extremely easy to translate our by-laws and rules for this club to fit your needs or any other member's needs for that matter and we recognize this.
Please know that while this is our immediate stance on this subject we are looking at revising these by-laws and rules to fit the needs of the club as a whole. We do currently have some obstacles in the way and are awaiting approval for our non profit status before we can begin to make changes to our by-laws.
Thanks for understanding and for submitting suggestions.
