I know you like to feed things but just dont pet it and you will be fine. Mine always hid when I stuck my arm in the tank didnt bother it, it didnt sting me. Heck i know somebody who was even bagging one up for somebody and it jumped outta the net into the sink, they didnt know it was venomous and just picked it up and put it in the bag like no big deal lol.

yeah. I thought about it before (got a thread about 'should I buy a rabbit fish' somewhere lol) and part of it was not liking the venemous part and part of it was about them not always being reef safe long term.

That aslo may bring up another reason for them not to be eating your alge lol. If they can pick from ribeye stake and brussle sprouts I know what one I would pick.

Chevron is my favorite. Of all the tangs I have had, the Chevron has been the best at cleaning up algae.

I hope you find one. All my tangs eat any and all algae it seems(except cyano but including diatoms, hair, all macros I have used etc.) I do believe that many of the tangs learned this behavior from my sailfin which was one of my first fish in the tank. My powder brown also seemed to like the algae over the frozen when I first put it in.

Another thing you could do to help them learn this behavior is to cut back on the feedings some.

Thanks for checking JT, you're so thoughtful! I spoke to somebody today that has kept a lot of tangs and I am actually pretty set on the Scopas (if tang at all) now.
I might go in on your group order and try a variegated urchin first before taking the plunge.
