Glass Tank Construction???
I am thinking of taking the 150 gal tanks that I have that have a crack in the bottom glass and making a frag tank out of them. Has anyone any ideas if I only make the tanks 4-5 inches tall if i need to build a frame for them?
The tanks will be about 72 in long 24 wide and 4-5 inches tall...
Thoughts??

i wouldnt think that there would be a frame needed for them b/c the outward pressure on the glass would only be 5 inches worth. and since its w/ psi i think the depth is where you would run into the problems . . . however just to be on the safe side i would do a glass center brace or pair of them, I have seen them on a new tank by penn plex, idk if you would have to do the full euro bracing though, doubt it prob can get away with it just being attached to another piece under it.
