Thread: Bushmaster & Remington

    Default Bushmaster & Remington

I'm so ticked off at them. I've been waiting for a MASSADA, then it turned into the ACR which Bushmaster said was going to be in the $1,500 dollar price range and now it's flipping $3K. What are they thinking? Do they think they are H&K or what this is really insulting. I can buy a SIG 5.56 a Springfield XDM a EOTECH red dot sight and with my leftover money buy another $1,000 rounds of ammo for under $3K

I think I'm just going to buy a SCAR 17 and tell BushWacker & Remington to keep their $3K gun, yeah the SCAR is $2,500 aswell but atleast they didn't tell us it was going to be $1,500 and it has been tested unlike the ACR.

If you buy any of those I would love to go to the shooting range with you. The way I was told is the ACR has a higher rate of fire than the scar. The scar shoots 7.62 correct? I thought the acr shot a smaller round but I cant remember exactly. I still would love an bushmaster AR15 platform to build off of. Another small rant is why do ACOGs have to be sooooo expensive? They used to be quite a bit cheaper if I remember correctly.

The SCAR comes in both a light and a heavy version, the light is the NATO 5.56 (can take 223) and the heavy is NATO 7.62 X 51 (can take 308). I'm not to worried if the ACR can fire faster than the SCAR since mine will be a semi and the 625 round per minute rating on the SCAR is considerably faster than what I would ever need or want. I did hear that the ACR trigger is nicer than the SCAR trigger. I agree with you on the ACOG's they are way overpriced, but boy are they nice. I'm really considering just getting a SIG 556 since they are running a rebate.

I've never kept up with the ACR/Bushmaster saga, but it sure seems to have upset a lot of people.
