sure...turbo tax. I didn't pay one cent last year and I still got my return back within like 8 days via direct deposit....granted I pretty much broke even....but it was still cheap/free.

This year I plan to pay for their service (like $15-$30) that gives you tool tips to get a better income...only because I made a few "moves" that I know nothing about in regards to taxes.

Seriously....it's not that hard to file your own...I always thought it was pretty difficult but it's pretty straight forward using their software online.

I always did my own. The book always comes with such detailed instructions.
This year might be trickier because of my business.
I might follow Mr Cob's lead on the turbo tax service...

Library will do them for free. They are actual tax preparers. I believe there is a maximum amount you are allowed to earn to use them. They were very gracious and willing to help with all my tax write offs (I had A LOT).

I do online H&R Block. The fee is usually minimal, especially if you earn minimal money, lol, like a teacher (me). The software guides me well, married filing jointly, house and write offs.

Don't underestimate yourself, reef tanks are harder than taxes.

Seriously, TurboTax. It's quick and easy - and easier than putting all the stuff together and taking it to someone.

I do my business taxes myself, and a couple of years ago I took it to an accountant for review. He said: "Wow. Looks really good. We use TurboTax.".
