Default January meeting - feedback wanted

Ok, to be very clear, this is not written because I am looking for a pat on the back for the meeting this weekend! I am trying to lay a trail of documentation for future meetings, to keep track of what we liked and would want to do again, and what we would suggest doing differently. It is my plan to do this after every event so that it helps us to keep improving on what we offer.

So, please give me feedback about this weekend's events. What parts would you like to see again and what would you suggest we try differently? (location, speaker, topic, general procedures, tank tour handouts, tank tour procedures, ANYTHING!) All comments are helpful - negative, positive, and in-between...

    Topic: Great
    Speaker: Excellent
Maast did a very fine job once again, it wasn't rushed, kind of laid back, but yet organized. Ace, Christy, Mike, and Eve did a wonderful job thanks again.(Sorry if I left someone out)
And thanks to our host from GC Reef.
Sorry I did not make the tour.

Bump... I happen to know our event coordinator and she really would like more feedback from people who went to the meetings... good and bad, so MAAST can learn what you want and what we can do better.

I enjoyed the topic and thought the venue was great. It worked out well doing the tank tour after the meeting, the smaller number and feel felt more personal and appreciated. Maybe for SA we could split the town up into sections and doing several smaller tank tours over a few months, rather than making a big huge long day of it. Oh and B&J's pizza was great, just be warned they have 2 locations.

First meeting for me and I thought it was awesome, I guarantee you it assured me that I will make the future ones no matter where they are, San Antonio or wherever!

I think it is so totally cool to meet people in person and put a face with their screen name!

I really enjoyed having this meeting at a sponsor's shop. I would like to see more meetings hosted by sponsors.

    1) It get's us familiar with the sponsors
    2) They will typically have a fully stocked shop for the meeting which gives us a nice selection on livestock and gives them some business
    3) It adds more to the meeting then just having a speaker, granted Brad was awesome.

Only thing I think lacking was possibly keeping to a time/schedule though maybe that's a good thing...?

All in all it was great. Would like to see more like this one.

Like Rob said, I've always enjoyed the meetings at a sponsor. Sometimes it's hard to fit a group in, but most stores could accomodate it.

I think this meeting was great. I really liked the topic as I didnt know what to really expect going in. Brad had an excellent presentation and I liked the venue. This was my first meeting at a sponsors place and I really enjoyed that than other places we have used as we could show sponsors return on thier investment. I realize not all events can be held at shops but I feel maybe every shop could get a meeting a year? Although that might be stretching it with all our local sponsors. Ok now back to last meeting... I enjoyed the tank tour and agree that we should split san antonio up as there are sooo many great tanks to see. Refreshments were nice, I liked the powerpoint so all in all I would give it an A.
My only regret is missing a ride on the Merlin.

Are we still looking into taping the meetings for archive and viewing purposes? I've seen many other clubs doing the same thing.

Agree with having the meetings at a sponsor's shop instead of a rented room somewhere.
I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.
