    Thanks for the info.. I was really looking along the breed of German Shepard (Large Dog) but they said they want a beagle. I am sure any medium size dog will be of good service as a companion to both my mom & dad.. More so my dad!

    when i saw makos sig.every thing came back my friend got one and his HOA fined him because it barked so much lol ( neighbors complained)

    miniature poodle !!! very smart dog and responds well

    i had a beagle for a while and green mako is dead on! i now have a basset and i love her to death, but it is like a beagle times ten.:-) lol

    The Barking I dont think will be a problem for the neighbors. My parents live out in the country! Those neighbors are few and far between. lol...

    Beagles are cool dogs with lots of personality. I would look at www.houndrescue.com and go from there. Good luck!
