Allan you are a funny guy. You and Jack should get together...couple of class clowns. LOL!

I think there is a right place and time for haggling. If a price tag says an amount, you should expect to pay that price if you are in a store. If there isn't a price then I would assume there is an opportunity to discuss the price. Chances are it's premium anyways and the seller/owner wants to handle those items at which time a price could potentially be negotiated.

Our local shops do a great job of taking care of the MAAST community and I can honestly say I never flash my MAAST card, yet I'm most always given the discount unless it's a new employee that does not know me...but I don't care.

We have a great selection in San Antonio and you'll find that if you frequent the shops the discounts come without asking.

Very true i guess we are lucky here in san antonio and get to actually deal with the owners of most places, also "MOST" places have great customer service. most stores know the MAASTARDS that frequent their stores anyway.

True that! AD often applies either the MAAST or Military discount only to livestock. But I've spent a lot of money in there and it seems that he's always tossing 10% off hardware too.

But generally speaking I've never entertained the idea that the LFS might be into negotiating prices although with a large purchase a discount wouldn't really surprise me after actually visiting most of the local shops. Good group of people.

I don't haggle, I've tried, but I can't seem to pull it off... even in Mexico. I tried to buy some nerf bars for my truck, fella wanted 70 dollars. I tried bringing him down to fifty, he said 70, I tried 60, he said 70... which in spanish sounds remarkably similar. I even made a big show of driving off, stopping one last time in front of the guy to ask if 65 would suffice... he said 70. I parked and bought the bars for 70.

To tell the truth I don't even ask for the MAAST discount here in town.
you should of told them 70 peso's + a bean and cheese taco lol

The cure for anything is salt water - sweat, tears, or the sea.
