Default Ideas on Catching a Fish

I have a flametail blennies that keeps pickin at my clam so i want to get rid of the blenny.
I have to much work to start taking it out so thats out of the question.
The blenny is also very shy so i cant get near it.

Any ideas on how to catch it?

I had a similar problem and the first thing I did was make a clam cage out of egg crate but...you said blenny so that might not be an answer for you since they are so slim. Mine was to keep a coral beauty out.

-invert the top of a 1 liter bottle with food in it and tie fishing line to it and pull out when desired fish goes in
    -food in net trick
-bait and hook with small brine shrimp hook only if fish is large enough
    -use two nets
-get a stick and a net and chase him down
-tear your reef apart and scoop him up

You could try this until you can meet up with Ace, his fish trap has worked many times.

You can do what worked for Erik (ScorpiNO). He sold us the rock that his flame-tail blenny liked to hide in, diverting our attention from the completely hidden blenny by emphasizing the nice cap and RBTA on this rock. Then Erik was free of his little pest and the stupid stowaway came to our tank to promptly kill our clam, pick at other corals, and bites my hand when I'm in the tank! I have named him Osama because he is impossible to get, hides in our rocks, and terrorizes everything and everybody.

We are working with a borrowed fish trap, originally made by hobogato, but Osama is far too clever. Will let you know if we are ever able to flush him out successfully.
