Hm I do wish there would be more of an apreciation of variety and biotope tanks rather than making the ultra clean SPS tanks the thing everybody ought to strive for.
Algae happens, detritus happens, critters like to eat rather than just be skinny props and decor ;) But to each their own!

Ditto on the ultra clean tanks. They're beautiful, but I miss my "dirty" softie tank.

As far as nasty comments go, it's usually something that's misinterpereted and then it turns into a king of the hill contest between members.

This is a passionate hobby and people take it a little too seriously sometimes.
