quick question
Just wondering. I remember a while back someone posted about a very clear looking anenome with white tipped tentacles. I've noticed quite a few in my fuge, and I'm seeing them in crevices of my display as well.
Not Aptasia though. These are almost completely clear, their tentacles aren't pointy, but rather round white (almost glowing) tips. I've touched quite a few of them and they actually adhere to my finger tips.
I've guessed by now that they are a nuisance... any ideas on how to get rid of them? I thought of a pep shrimp but the last one only ate Aptasias and left these to grow freely.

Not sure what those are. The other nuisance anemone is majano but they are green.

I thought majano's come in several different colors. Allan your description sounds like majano's, especially since there are quite a few.

I know they can range from brown to green but I didn't thint that there were clear ones. I'm no expert on them though. There could be clear ones.

if they are babies or in areas of low light, they will be pretty much clear.

Well, not really. Ace, yeah, I've found these in low light areas to include almost buried under LR rubble.
Upon first glance it appears that there are about 8 to 10 white dots floating about an eighth of an inch to half an inch from the rock. Closer exmaination revealed an almost translucent body. So transparent in fact that you can actually see the stomach area (?) beneath the mouth. You can almost make out details of this area when you're really close.
When I push them they feel strangely solid and somewhat spongy... Not sure if I've conveyed that accurately or not... but there it is.
I would take a picture but I don't think it will show very well with the camera's that I have at the house.
Kristy... or Mike... I can't see the first picture here at work, the only one that I can see is the one that kind of looks like a RTBA, and the picture after that is white. These are very clear. But to be on the safe side I've lifted a few of them so they are exposed to the fuge light to see if they color up. This will be the third day of complete exposure, no color yet.
