Thread: Tangs.

    Default Tangs.

    .
As you may know I have a variety of tangs. I have added a new tang to the mix he is an orange shoulder about 7 inches. I have from oldest to must recent; a yellow tang a purple tang, both 4-5 inch. I have a blue hippo 5 inches, a kole tang 5 inches. And now my orange shoulder. I wonder if I would have any trouble adding another 5 inch orange shoulder. They will have plenty of room but I don’t know if the orange tangs will target each other specifically.
275 gal, loving my new stand.
    Always looking for big fish.

I do not think that adding an additional tang of the same species would be a good idea. You do have a 300 gallon tank though, so it may be possible to keep two. Personally, I'd add a Lieutenant Tang.

I would think that the larger established orange shoulder would be aggressive toward the smaller new orange shoulder. But I have never tried it so who knows.

i say no, don't do it. How about trying a chevron, or achilles tang to the mix.
