    Was also wondering why you have a heater in there at all if the h2o temp is warm. Take it out and add the fans. Fans will usually get you a 1-3 degree drop depending on lighting.

    I agree take out the heater, my tank is between 77 to 79 degrees at all times. It is personal preference where you want your temp at, but make sure it is consistent plus or minus two degrees any more then that fluctuation and your running a risk of loosing fish or coral. The key to the hobby is to keep everything consistent.

    Well like everyone said i would not run the heater....I don't and I have a the 12g nano with my temps staying steady in that at night as well as the big tank i think you should be fine. and my house is colder than most. 73... come this winter will be to look about running a heater if it gets cold here in south texas.
    90g mixed reef, 12g nano, 3 dogs, 3 cats, 2 ferrets.
    Driving the wife crazy.......PRICELESS.

    yeah kinda pointless having a heater in San Antonio i see that now lol

    thanks guys i unplugged it and i am going to take it out tomorrow thanks everyone
