Zoo eating Nudi Nightmare

I've found these buggers on two zoa colonies, which theve basically destroyed. Thankfully this last one (colony) was small. I ended up doing a two minute freshwater dip to get him off - but I fear there will be more.

Has anyone had good sucess with anything eating these little @%*$???

He was the size of the watermelon polyp he was munching. The other colony I just pitched over the fence (theres a green belt behind me) but it had multiple Nudi's on it. I hope this is the end of them, but thats not my luck.

Also I'm suprised but it appears the little colony I fresh water dipped is coming back - and I didn't even use declor.........

be surprised about the zoos they can handle a lot. I have had mine put through hell and back and they seem to do fine. crazy little guys.

dont know of anything that eats them...but they tore up my zoas as well.....freshwater dip daily...and c if u see any egg casings on the zoas....it took me a while to get em under control....

Here's what I posted to the last person who had this issue. Good luck. I didn't fully get them erradicated until I got my wrasses.

Take that colony out asap so the nudis don't spread to other zoa colonies. Fresh water dips do a good job of getting the nudis to drop off. Carefully examine the zoa colony for eggs. Carefully scrape them off and use an iodine base dipping solution to wash off the colony. I'd then put the colony in a QT and observe. The chance that you completely removed/killed every egg is slim. The good thing though is that since they're QT'd, when the eggs hatch you can remove the new nudis before they are mature enough to lay eggs. Simply repeat the aforementioned process, QT again, and if all looks well, put the colony back in the show tank.

I learned this lesson the hard way. Nudis infested my tank about a year ago an it took a long time to completely erradicate them. If I had known better, I would have done as I suggested and nipped the problem in the bud instead of dragging my feet and letting them reproduce. They can really put a hurting on your zoas. When they're small, they're pretty hard to see. They change to the color of the zoa they're eating. Keep an eye on all colonies. If the zoas are closed up, suspect that they're being irritated by nudis and treat as I mentioned before.

I did the same thing that everyone has mention dip the ezoas. After that I started dipping every coral I get. Good luck.

So your Wrasses really took care of them? Would a six line be the best option here(besides dipping)?

even if u get a wrasse....whatever ur choice may be....i would say do the dip anyways....i have a yellow coris wrasse in there...not necessarily sure if it did anything for the problem but problem has sudsided tremendously.....if/when u dip stir the cup or whatever u use around you'll see some nudi sunk at the bottom....
