Are you sure you didn't find mostly Periwinkles? The Nerites are few and far between. Granted, they both do a super job.

I got tons of them...they were everywhere....but not on the Jetties. I got them last year too...same place. Got them under the coastal bridge in Corpus.

Ahhh, the Virgin Nerites! I thought you meant the Antilles Nerites you can occassionally find on the Port A jetties. If you'd gone out at night in the same spot you got those Virgin Nerites you could have gotten Ceriths and Nassarius, too.

I got these at night, in the grass patches in the sand. I did not collect during the day. I got a bunch of whelks though! LOL!
