Showpiece rock, Mushroom and bryopsis

In the tank it looked like hair algea, but once I got the rock out, some of the algea was still really prickly vs. the hair algea that just mushed. I think some of it was bryopsis... Better safe than sorry.

Oh, if only I had known that my "hair algae" was actually bryopsis. It started as a tiny little spot of "hair algae". I was in denial.
