Thread: Auto shut off valve

    Default Auto shut off valve

I recently put an auto shut off valve on my RO/DI. Is there anyway to keep this thing from constantly sounding like a machine gun going off? It will shut on and off twice a minute, and rattles very loud when it does.

    Thanks,

Put acover on it, the reduced evaporatrion will help.

First of all what is triggering your auto shutoff to kick on/off is the valve electronic or pressure regulated?

Did you hook it up correctly?

It is pressure regulated. Im pretty sure I hooked it up right...... I followed the directions. Everything shuts off when the valve closes.

I use a bladder tank in between my ro and my di. No oscillations. When it turns on, it takes a while to build up pressure to turn off again. And when you want water you get a good flow for at least a quart or two.

Sorry, my internet sucks right now. I spent half an hour searching for a link. But it's a blue tank you see in some pictures of RO/DI systems. I've seen them at Home Depot.

Available at Home Depot I think.

I checked Home Depot and Lowes and couldn't find the 2 quart tank bladders anyone have any idea where? They only had like a 10 gallon and a 4 gallon one.
