    Default Controlling GSP

    Hi All,

I thought I picked decent locations for my 2 colonies of GSP...but alas I was wrong. It is doing what GSP does best, grow and invade. I am starting to lose zoa colonies and it even somehow managed to hop up to a completely different shelf and is heading toward my SPS.

Is there any way to remove it? I've never fragged it and am wondering if it will simply peel off or if I'm hosed.

    Any help is apreciated.

    R, Jamie

You can just peel it off or use scissors to cut it where you would want to cut it. Shouldnt be difficult. This is one of the easier ones.

    Just a small tank...

You might have to scrape it off of the rock. My GSPs won't "peel" off of a rough surface like Tonga rock, and I have to scrape it off with a small plastic kitchen scraper. If you're able to peel or cut yours as Pennies suggested and want to frag the cuttings, just glue them onto LR rubble using super glue, then give them a week or two to firmly grow onto the rock. They're good trade items that way.

Thanks, I'll try to peel it off, maybe this evening...been a little under the weather.

Unfortunately, if that doesn't work, my rock is not set up to pull it out and scrape it. Guess we'll see.

Actually, I just scrape mine in the tank - can't get my rock out, either. Just don't scrape too much at a time so your system can handle it. Running carbon and a good skimmer helps, too.
