    Default respect and common courtesy

    i feel that i need to start a thread about this because some people seem to need a reminder.

    although i have voiced concerns with this organization, i still support the board of directors and other leaders. remember these people volunteer their time and effort to do this. they get no compensation and have the best interest of maast at heart.

    it is INEXCUSABLE to personally attack any member publicly or privately by pm. they would never send a threatening or personally degrading pm to anyone - even those who voice opposition.

    everyone on this club needs to remember that and act in an adult and professional manner. if you cant act like an adult then you should not be participating here.

    to the BOD - i am sorry for any and all personal attacks that may have come from recent conversations.

    I would like to express agreement with this and appreciate you Ace for bringing it up.

    Do we have some issues that need some fine tuning in this organization? Yes, absolutely. Have we really clearly defined and agreed upon what those issues are? No, not really (to my thinking). Can we possibly move toward solutions until that occurs? Absolutely not.

    The thing to remember as we sort through that process (and it will take a little time, everyone needs to have patience and faith in the process) is that the overall worth of the organization is absoulultely compromised by indulging in disrespectful behavior. There are ways to very courteously and carefully and respectfully express disagreement or concern. If everyone could slow down and reconsider before they post whether or not they are expressing themselves in the way that they want, rather than just jumping on a bandwagon with pitchforks and torches in hand, it would go a long way.

    Thanks everyone for the valuable contributions elsewhere that help MAAST to move forward with education and support.

    Agree whole heartedly!!! I've been reading all these threads and posts regarding issues of ethics, morals, he said, she said...by the way, I still don't know what the main issue is??? I have stayed quiet but quite honestly...I'm embarassed! This has gotten WAY out of control!!! We are all adults here...its time to start acting like it. Vote on whatever needs to be decided and/or changed or unchanged and MOVE ON PEOPLE!!! Its only a hobby....

    I agree whole heartedly!! This should also include insinuating and rather backhanded comments that have made their way around the board in the last few months.

    This forum is for people to work together not against each other. We have met allot of wonderful people that belong to this organization: BOD, Charter Members,Web members and Sponsors. We have directed people to this forum for over 6 years and we have seen the club grow over that time. We are all joined together by a hobby we love. If people want to back stab or talk about other people they need to go to the drama forum.

    Do we really want this to turn into a bashing feast like other boards and do we want to lose the wonderful people that volunteer so much of their time to help others with this hobby since that’s were things are headed.

    Why would we do this to our organization???
