Default Bulk heads (acrylic) sump/refugium leaking

We are finally putting together our sump and refugium on a 120 gallon tank and the bulkheads are not holding. They seem to be as tight as we can get them and we also have already stripped 2 bulkheads.

you are tightening them too tight - that will actually make them leak.

Then it also depends if you are tightening by hand or by a wrench. You are only supposed to tighten a quarter turn by a wrench.

As noted above, these are hand tight items. If you have a leak, they are installed wrong.
