Default To over feed or not to over feed that is the question

I made my own fish food and have been feeding more. I have been getting a slight algae problem but the corals are growing great and look good. What would be some suggestions on what to do? I know I could cut back the feeding but then the corals were growing very slow. Hoping for better suggestions.

You might be able to spot feed your corals and use less food that way.

Find a way to export more nutrients by adding more macro algea , more water changes and testing for Nitrate more often. Feed small amount but often would works too.
Reefing is just like cooking, all the ingredients have to be just right , except you don't have to bring the water to a BOIL...
