    I found this on a rock when i was aquascaping today. anyone know what it is?

    how big is it. the pic is kinda blurry but i would say a flower anemone. i might be wrong, but thats what it looks like. or a really big aptaisia, lol

    Probably a ricordea or some type of pest anemone. (mojano)

    its brown and green, and about an inch in diameter, it retracts when i touch it, and was putting off some kind of slime earlier.

    THe pic you posted is a florida ricordea. Pretty good find.

    It does look like a mushroom in that last pic, although I'm not positive it's a ricordea, may just be a bumpy fuzzy mushroom. Look up pics of different mushrooms to compare. It may be one of these that you have to wait for it to grow a couple more days until you can tell.

    When you said that it retracts when you touch it, I was betting on flower anenome or mojano, but now I am thinking mushroom after seeing that last photo. Does it just shrink away from you when you touch, or does it try to grab your finger, is it sticky to the touch?

    Yeah, its doesnt look like a ricordea anymore. Ricordeas a larger mouth, I cant see on in the pic.
