    Default T5 bulb Suggestion

I was running two URI Super Actinics and three URI Actinic whites (too yellow/white), recently switched over two three Supers and two Actinic whites (too blue).

What would be a suggestion from those with T5 bulb experience to get a good between like maybe something in a 14K for the 5th bulb?

i don't have tons of experience with t5's, but i have a similar situation on my build thread. and the feedback i have received is to add something like an ati blue+ bulb.

also, would you happen to have pics showing the coloration of the tank. since i am still trying to decide on mine, i would like to see the differences.

Here's a picture with the two super actinics. I'll see if I can get a picture today with the reverse and three super actinics. I may go back to this for now though.

Meant to put this in the general forum but didn't realize where I was when I posted. Then again this is kind of a nano compared to my last tank.

Looks like you are still looking for that perfect T5 combo. I would try replacing at least one of the UVL SA with an ATI Blue Plus (20K look but with a ton of PAR) and replacing one of the UVL 50/50 actinic whites with an ATI Aquablue Special (11K). Something like this (you have the 5 bulb TX5 if I remember right):

    Front
    UVL SA
UVL Actinic White or UVL 75/25 (14K)
    ATI Blue Plus
    ATI Aquablue Special
    UVL SA
    Back

I have an ATI blue plus, GE 6500K, and UVL Aquasun (10K) currently not in use if you want to play around with them to see how it looks. Grim Reefer's T5 thread on RC is also a wealth of info. -Bill

Yep the TX5. I love his thread it's just hard getting a good visual without the true in living color impact.

If I remember correctly the UV actinic whites are supposed to be a 12K, is that correct?
I could maybe try this and see what the coloration would look like:
    Front
    UVL Actinic white
    UVL Super Actinic
    UVL Aquasun
    UVL Super Actinic
    ATI blue plus
    Back

Wow, Cliff, if this is a Nano tank that's the smallest CBB I've ever seen - and if it's not a nano, that's the BIGGEST turbo...

He was a pretty small CBB but not too small. I do have some large turbos in there though. Maybe that's whats happening to all my fish, my turbos are eating them.

OK, 58 gallon may not be officially a nano.
