My yellow clown goby let me pet him tonight. I was doing some late night coral feeding and I noticed he didn't shy away so i slowly lowered a finger on his back. I pet the length of his back before he moved to the other end of the open brain. Friggin' cool!

He bites? LOL. No hand feeding. I told myself "Never again" after my old eel would "miss" the food and take a bite. I haven't seen any aggression, is he that way towards tankmates?

Hey guys, thought I would throw in my two cents. I think we are talking about two different fish. A yellow clown goby versus clown fish. The small clown gobys are harmless, however depending on your type of clown fish, not so much. We have a large pair of maroon clown fish, that are mean and do try to bite you when you get near thier home. Two different critters....

Along the same lines as getting to pet your fish, Kristy used to have a flame hawk that would come sit/perch on her hand/arm when she fed the tank. Very cool. -Mike

I have a cleaner wrass that spends time working on my arms when I'm working on the tank. I don't think I have any mites... Sometimes the cleaner shrimp will help.

Hm I was a little dumbfounded at the thought of my clown goby ever attacking. But ya, I had a very social longnose hawk, just not that social!

My daughter always liked watching me get a cleaning courtesy of the cleaner shrimp. I let her do it every now and then too(can't be too careful with 10yo hands/arms).

On a FW note, our red devil lets the Mrs. pet/hold her. The fish is ~7-8inches long now. It's pretty neat to see.

My evil little A. Ocellaris clowns follow my hand everywhere while in the tank... sometimes taking a nip at it. :\
