Thread: Fuzzy Dwarf Lion/Reef

    Default Fuzzy Dwarf Lion/Reef

I have been reading about these things and I have wanted one for a long time, so I figured it was time to risk it. Any pointers? I have him aclimated and in the tank now, he seems to be pretty active, but leaving everything else alone. He finds something to crawl into and just hangs out.

Is he going to eat my large purple Lobster(don't really care-he never comes out)? they are both nocturnal.

I kept a yellow fuzzy (havent seen one since him) for about a year in a reef tank with inverts....blood shrimp, coral banded, etc. I fed him 3 or 4 times a week. I stopped feeding him for about 2 weeks and then my shrimp disappeared. Enjoy him and feed him.

very reassuring!!! Thanks. This is actually a Red one, and it was eating froszen brine at the store already before I brought it home, so I don't need to feed it live food.

That is a cool addition. i had one in my reef and he never bothered anything. he did eat my damsels a couple of times but oh well. they were the wifes and i didnt like em so i didnt feed him (zeus). and zues ate them within 2 days. i lost him a while back think it was because he ate a damsel a little to big u could see the outline in his body then he died.

I have been very pleased so far. He doesn't seem to mind being out and about, and he doesn't even notice any of my fish or corals yet. It is funny though, he acts like a dog hunting a fly. He is just waiting to pouce on something on the rock.

Well I guess he likes to eat fish, because he ate my relatively small Yellow Tang for snack the other night. It was about the size of a half dollar, and now there is nothing left of him but a little fin. I am going to have to get larger fish to keep him at bay, or he will have to go.
