What's the second airline for? I made one like that with a milk jug, airline and airline t-valve. The valve is tricky to get adjusted and can get caked up. I also found if it sits in the water the syphon goes too fast. A few quirks but otherwise works great and ALOT cheaper than even the $30 Kent doser!

the short hose is to start the siphon, i just blow into it and it starts, mine has been going for a week now with no problem i just set it on top of the tank

what u can also do is drill a hole ontop of the kalkwasser level and let it drip versus having to blow on the other tubing.
