Thread: Fuge Light?

    Default Fuge Light?

I am looking into getting my fuge light and wanted to know the cheapest route I could go with this. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks

I use a clip on socket fixture and a standard 6500K 90W compact fluorescent spotlight. You can throw away the metal reflector which comes with the fixture since the spotlight has an internal reflector. Total: less than 20 bucks. Got the idea from melevsreef website.

I also buy the recommended bulb on melev's reef online. Is there a store locally that carries it? My cheato grows like crazy with that bulb.

I looked on melevsreef.com, but could not find the bulb for sale there. Can anyone provide more detail on the bulb?

I was looking for the same thing. I looked at the specs of the bulb from melevsreef and found a similar bulb on Lowe's website. http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?actio...063&lpage=none

I am going to pick one up today.

I did the same thing. Found the light and the fixture both at HD.

My sump came with a current USA fixture and I just used the lights in there - one actinic, one daylight. Growth has been good, but not like in the link above.
