    Default Aquarium Hardware

has anyone ever ordered from Aquarium Hardware. Last week I came across this site offering a free mogul reflector just pay shipping & handling ! well after receiving my payment 2 days later I receive a e-mail saying it was a computer glitch or typo and the real price was 50 bucks each! Was willing to let it go but now I see this ! Must be the old bait & switch

I sent them a message concerning 10 other items marked "FREE" looks like a web glitch or someone hacked into their site. Should be interesting to hear back from them. The item you wanted was corrected to $50

    Best Regards,

I have seen that happen before over 6 months ago too. They always have bulbs for "FREE", you check out and only have to pay for shipping....then you get a call saying "Ooops!".

    Very frustrating.

If you have a print out and a bill of sale they should honor it and you could force them to honor it, if you want to go through the trouble. If its not worth the hassle just get your money back.

The 10 items I found have all been corrected.

When I was in retail sales, we had an average of 3-4 errors in the newspaper per week. (we were a major national chain store listing hundreds of items) We were not required to honor errors in the ad. We posted a corrected letter of apology from the printer in each store.
I personally would assume it was a typo because the item isn't really free. Why would they be in business to sell free merchandise?

I'm sorry I was under the impression that he had already sent the company money for a mogul light at the free price and a transaction had taken place on his behalf not a misprint on the site that everyone was inquiring about. Personally I've been in situations where there was a typo in the cost of a product and the company didn't come back to me and say oh it was a typo we need more money or we can't sell you the item at said price they've stuck to their end of the bargain and just claimed a loss but i'm sure they made up for the loss with all of the other crap that they were making profit on to people.

I did send them the money! They listed it as free just pay shipping & handling I payed by pay pal It took them 3days after the transaction was completed to send me an e-mail that it was a typo and they wanted a additional 100 dollars. I understand that things happen it may have been a typo but that dose not explain why after they changed the price on the mogul why they changed the price on their ballast to free plus shipping Not to mention apparently I'm not the only one they've done this to apparently they have been having typo's for the last six months
