    Default Your opinions/experiences with camcorders

Hello, I'm in the research process of buying a camcorder. Its been 7 years since I have bought one, so I've been re-orienting to what is available now. What are youir thoughts on DVD camcorders compared to those that use flash memory for storage? I read different reviews on both. Thanks for any advice!

when we sell them at work (QVC) i just tell the customers the dvd one is more then likely going to be more user friendly due to you not having to upload anything and it goes on the dvd

Personally I'm waiting for the 1080p camcorder prices to come down and am going to get the hard drive style. I have a DVD camcorder now and haven't been real impressed. Could be the one I bought but I've had a couple of DVD's not work after I recorded to them.

Go for one with the internal hard drive. Better picture quality than the dvd and hold more.

We bought a Sony 1080i hard drive 6 months ago. I like it, much better then our old one that used Digital tapes and Captan motors. Everytime we took the tape one to the coast the moisture got it and into the shop. I bought a sceond tape one to record those tape to DVD and now that one will soon be e-bay material and the other one will be e-bay material for parts.

The only thing that I do not like about the hard drive model is it has a 10k Al limit, not very skiing friendly, but I have a small helmet cam that makes half-a-- video.
