Guys - a quick, cheap "homerun" homecooked meal...
Our NEW HEB opened up a few weeks ago - 281 at Evans. They have (and I'm not sure which others have this) "Macaroni Grill" entrees in a box. On most of them, you just add chicken, maybe some milk & butter. They are less than $4. I bought a couple just for the heck of it - don't really know why...
Anyway, we've tried 3 different ones. The absolute WINNERS are the Basil Parmisan and the Alfredo. The Marsala is good, but not great. I'm telling you, these are "drop the fork, I can't believe this came out of a box" good. These are NOT the typical box pasta garbage, nor do they resemble "hamburger helper". They take about 10-15 minutes to make, and the directions are PERFECT and easy.
So, my suggestion is, snag one or 2, and surprise her with a "home cooked" meal she won't believe you made. These are seriously, seriously good.
