    Default 13.1

Today I accomplished something that I did not ever think I would do. I completed the San Antonio Rock N Roll Half Marathon 13.1 miles. My time was not a record breaker at 2hrs and 42 min but it was done with out stopping. Started running at the beginning of the year and did more so the last few weeks. Have been into cycling the last few years and even did the Bike to Beach from San Antonio to Corpus but running is totally different. Going to ICE my legs and take a nap now so I can see what the Cowboys can do against the Redskins tonight. Just thought I would share my accomplishment with you all. Next year the full marathon!!!!!

Thanks guys, it was not easy, when I was getting tired or started to feel my IT band on the side of my knee starting to hurt I would think about a couple of family members who fought but loss cancer but will remember how hard they fought, that was real pain what I was going though was nothing compared to their pain.

It also reminds me of a line from the football movie The Replacements:
"Pain heals, Chicks Dig Scars, Glory last forever"
