Raw Sewage for fish food?

I purchased some ZooPlex on a recent trip to San Antonio. I have used this in my tank and it smells really bad. Is anyone else using this? Is it supposed to smell like it was dipped strait out of the sewer?

I used to use it. I don't ever recall it smelling like sewage.

Maybe it was supposed to be refrigerated and was exposed to higher temps?

Yeah, never had a problem with Zooplex smelling bad. Yours might have gotten too warm during shipping or something.

DT's Phyto smells a little sulfurous sometimes.
