I am using Kent "Tech CB, Part A and B" I am trying to figure out if adding the Part A (alkalinity buffer) will get my PH up to 8 or 8.3?

Hi gabriel from laredo
see this site

8 gal Biocube Reef
125 gal Reef
135 gal FOWLR
I read about using baking soda.
Not sure if it works but an i would give it a go!!
How long do you keep your lights on? try keeping them on longer, or run a fuge light 24/7
If youre gonna run a fuge, run it with reverse lighting, that way when the main lights are out, the fuge lights will help stablize the Ph.
The lights stay on between between 12 - 14 hrs a day. And I dont have a fuge. Hoestly I'm not sure I have the room for it. All of my equipment is back pack. emperor filter and (1) seaclone skimmer helping (1) bio pak skimmer. I would love to switch to a sump but all in due time.
Thanks for the website Gabriel. Lots of info in there!
If you want the benefits of a fuge, but don't have the the plumbing/expertise/room for an undertank fuge/sump, you can always remove the Seaclone skimmer and the Emperor 400 and add something like the CPR Aquafuge 2. I ran one on my 55 gal tank when I first started and it worked great. Never had nitrates and there were pods galore.
Personal experience? Which size and how much LR did you use? Do you need to feed it seperately?
