feeding...
I have a fairly new 29g biocube and have some snails, hermit crabs, a cleaner shrimp, and 3 peppermint shrimp. I was wondering what time of day should I be feeding them ( I'm currently feeding 3 times a week). I usually feed at night but this morning I decided to feed them because I won't have time to sit and watch them feed tonight ( I love watching them eat!!!). Are evenings a better time to feed or does it matter?
Thanks,
Deanna

I don't think that time of the day matters as long as it's consistent. Whatever you pick, just keep it the same and the fish should be happy.

I feed mine 3 times a day! Once when the light comes on, when i get home from work, and before the light goes out! I feed flake, pellet, and a frozen blend! I try not to feed more than they wil eat. I think if you have a good protien skimmer and clean up crew it is hard to over feed!

Thanks guys. I'm feeding frozen food right now and the little guys just love it! Since it don't seem to matter what time of day I feed, I'll probably stick with the mornings....I just have more time to watch them then!!

There was a a time when I did multiple a day feedings, when I first got my Sunburst Anthias. I slowly weened him to once a day feedings. I lost him due to a falling powerhead, now I have relatively hardy fish (and an algae problem) so I feed every other day.
Sounds like you are on the right track.
