    Default melted frozen food

i left my frozen food out (again) over night. ive alwase thrown it away when i do this. but now since i got my new bicolor blenny in, the only food out of ALL my other kind that he will eat is my frozen brine. and i left it out over night. is it safe to freeze again? because i cant just hop in the car and go to the LFS, because its over an hour away. its just the small frozen blocks.

    thanks

    IMO, yes

many people here buy different frozen flat packs (mysis, brine, bloodworms, etc . . . ) thaw it out. blend it together. then re-freeze it.

I like this idea....I feed a cube of something different every day for 5 days then repeat...I often try to mix them....what a great idea to blend them all together.

    Thanks!

when i said "blend" i didnt mean with a blender per say. that will likely make it too small/mushy.

i would just stir it together vs "blending" it

just my .02 maybe some of the bigger tank owners will chime in on how they do it

I was planning on chopping the shrimp up and for the frozen cubes just mushing them with a spoon once they have thawed a bit and then mixing them together and refreezing into small cubes again or flat in a bag.

I've left my frozen food out numerous times. The fish didn't seem to mind re-frozen food. Well, they didn't complain to me anyways.

i buy the mixed flats of frozen dump it in a big bowl and let it thaw. mix and refreeze that way all the fish get something they like since apparently my clowns think that feeding only once a day is starving them.

my clowns and cleaner shrimp act starved with one-a-day feeding. Generally fish don't really care how long food (meat, whatever) has been sitting out; so i woudn't worry about the thaw and freeze.
