Thread: Question about Interceptor Treatment

  1. #1

    Default Question about Interceptor Treatment

Does anyone know how urchins react to interceptor? Should they be removed with the snails & shrimp? I'd rather not mess with it, but obviously I will if I have to.

    Thanks in advance,

the interceptor treatment will not hurt urchins or snails (although the snails will come out and act like they are drunk ). i have even had fire shrimp, sally lightfoot crabs, pistol shrimp and scarlet hermits live thru it. it will definitely kill skunk cleaner shrimp and blue leg hermits.

Thanks again Ace, you're a life saver, I didn't realize I could leave the snails in there...

The only thing in the system besides SPS, is 3 fish, scarlet and cortez red legs hermits, I got the only peppermint I could find, the other 2 I'm ok with losing(I know it sounds horrible, but I doubt i'll find the 2 in the fuge), I still have 4 that are safe in my 29.

I guess I'll stop trying to catch and move snails ;)

Yep. Urchins and snails will make it through the treatment. My urchin and all my snails made it through when I treated with Interceptor.
